Press release: Birgitta Simonsson new CEO of Bankgirocentralen BGC

Birgitta Simonsson has been appointed new Chief Executive Officer of Bankgirocentralen BGC AB. Birgitta Simonsson joins BGC from Danske Bank Sweden. She will take up the position in September, when the current CEO Eva Gidlöf will leave to join TietoEnator as Executive Vice President.
 
 
Birgitta Simonsson has a solid and extensive experience from the banking sector, including responsibility for both Swedish and foreign payments. She joins from Danske Bank Sweden, where she has been a member of the bank's Swedish Executive Committee since 2005 as Head of Shared Services Sweden (administration, production and development). Birgitta Simonsson has been a member of BGCs board of directors since 2005.
