Inbetalningsservice OCR (Payment Services OCR)

Simpler management for payments received
Bankgirot’s Payment Services OCR is a service for all companies and authorities which deal with payments received, such as rent, fees, subscriptions, season ticket payments and instalment payments. Payment Services OCR allows you to make the whole invoice flow more efficient, from printing invoices to automatically checking payments received against the subsidiary ledger.

When your customer makes a payment, the funds are directed straight to the company’s bank account where they start to earn interest and can be used by the business. As a result, funds are not held in a collection account before being available for use or earning interest.

Payment Services OCR offers a wealth of advantages

  • The possibility of automatic checking against the accounts receivable ledger, saving both time and money.
  • Funds are directed straight into the company’s bank account where they start to earn interest.
  • Reviewing payments received on the payment date itself.
  • Your customers choose how they would like to pay – electronically or manually.

Payment Services OCR means that all invoices the company sends out include a reference number used to reconcile the payment against the accounts receivable ledger. A deposit slip with the same reference number can be attached to the invoice. The customer can use the slip to pay in a number of ways, such as via Giro for consumers, Bankgiro Direct, at a bank branch or at a branch of the Swedish Cashier Service. The customer can also pay via online banking or an accounting system by registering the payment including the reference number.

With Payment Services (OCR), you can also receive Plusgiro payments and cash-on-delivery payments using the company’s bankgiro number.

You will receive information about payments received on the actual processing day.

Make checking easier
To ensure that you receive good quality payment information and to make checking easier, you should make your reference number as short and simple as possible.

You can also select various levels of reference-number control. Hard control means that the Internet bank rejects the payment immediately if your customer enters an incorrect reference number. Soft control means that the payment goes through regardless of the reference number – this level of control can be used, for example, by charities.
