TCP/IP FTP

Method of communication
TCP/IP FTP is a standard product included in all UNIX systems and is available for most computers from PCs to IBM mainframes. Connection to Bankgirot can be via a fixed line, X.25, ISDN, SNIX, etc.

If teletransfer is to take place via a fixed line, this must be ordered from a telecommunications provider before the connection can be configured by Bankgirot.

The payment file is created in the agreed format for Bankgiro services. The file is protected against tampering using the agreed method, and is send in accordance with the instructions which can be found in the Guidelines for Suppliers for this method of communication.

Methods of anti-tampering protection
For security reasons, all files containing payment orders which are sent to BGC must be equipped with electronic anti-tampering protection – also called an electronic seal. Approved method is Nexus Electronic Signature. Your communication software will often include an electronic anti-tampering protection feature.
