Methods of communication
Connect direct is a product from Sterling Software available for computers such as IBM mainframe computers in conjunction with most operating systems including MVS, VM, VSE, UNIX, OS/2 and Windows. Connect direct is compatible with communication protocols SNA, TCP/IP or NEXET (HYPERchannel).
Link-up takes place via one of the following:
| Fixed line |
|
| X.25 (Datapack) |
PVC (fixed line) SVC (dial-up) "Switched Subarea Dial" |
| SNIX |
Service offered by Tele2 for SNI via Token Ring |
| Via a third-party network |
E.g. the IBM network |
| LAN to LAN |
TCP/IP only to the customer's LAN via a router on BGC's LAN. |
If the teletransfer is to take place via a fixed line, this must be ordered from Telia before BGC can configure the connection.
Methods of anti-tampering protection
For security reasons, all files containing payment orders which are sent to BGC must be equipped with electronic anti-tampering protection – also called an electronic seal. Approved method is Nexus Electronic Signature. Your communication software will often include an electronic anti-tampering protection feature.
